Class Descriptions  |  Class Schedule  |  Dress Code

Please note: In some cases, repetition of a class may be necessary and is very common, before moving on to the next level.  On average a student may spend 2 years in a class before moving on. Advancement is based on correct placement, skill mastery, and instructor recommendation; not by age, which means all classes may contain a variety of ages.

Our program is broken down into the 3 stages of learning that we feel a dancer progresses through during their training: FOUNDATION, CAPTIVATION and IMMERSION. The following descriptions and class offerings within each stage will help guide you through finding the right place for your dancer. We are always happy to assist with any questions you may have.

Should a student fail to meet the attendance requirement set forth for their level, Dance Reflections reserves the right to pull the student from Recital due to lack of preparation.

THE FOUNDATIONS STAGE (ages 2- 8)

View the Dress Code here

Our FOUNDATIONS classes seek to develop the early concepts of dance education. This includes terminology, anatomy (as it relates to movement), basic movements, team work, performance and discipline. Emphasis is place on fun and hard work to help children reach age appropriate goals. These classes are also the perfect way to prepare the young dancer for more serious dance instruction. While we encourage students to progress trhough all levels of early dance education, students will be placed according to both age and ability.

Classes in our FOUNDATIONS program include:

  • *Tippy Toes- creative movement (ages 2 & young 3)
  • Bitty Ballerinas- Ballet (older 3- young 4 and geared towards first year students). We do not teach tap to this age because we work on achieving balance and coordination sufficient enough to introduce tap in the next class level.
  • Tutus and Taps- Ballet and Intro to Tap (4.5-5.5)
  • Tiny Dancers- Ballet & Tap (ages 4.5-5.5)
  • Movers and Shakers- Ballet & Tap (Kindergarten 5's-7's)
